MUNICIPAL WEBSITES
Built for small Saskatchewan communities.
Clear, easy to manage municipal websites for communities of 50 to 5,000 people.
Your residents need information. Your staff needs a website that isn't another full time job.
I build practical municipal websites and provide ongoing support sized to your community, so important information stays easy to find and easier to keep current.
Based in Saskatoon. Supporting communities across Saskatchewan.

SOUND FAMILIAR?
Your website has become a little bit of everything.
Council minutes are somewhere over here.
The pool schedule is over there.
The public notice is three clicks deep.
Someone needs a form and calls the office
because they can’t find it.
And that page still has information from 2000.
A municipal website shouldn’t create more work for your staff.
It should help residents answer everyday questions themselves while giving your team a reliable place to share important information.

SMALL COMMUNITIES MATTER TO ME.
I know what small town life looks like.
I grew up in a small community, and even though I now live and run my business in Saskatoon, I still go home.
I know that in a small community, people wear a lot of hats. The person updating the website probably has a dozen other things on their plate. Budgets matter. Time matters. And when residents need information, they usually know exactly who to call when they can’t find it.
That’s part of why I care about making professional websites more accessible to smaller Saskatchewan communities.
You shouldn’t need a huge communications department or a big city budget to have a website that’s easy for residents to use and manageable for your staff.
Small community doesn’t mean small needs.

Built for small Saskatchewan communities. Designed for residents. Manageable for staff. Supported by a real person.
Clear beats clever.
Residents aren't visiting a municipal website because they want an immersive digital experience.
They want to know:
-
When is garbage day?
-
Where are the council minutes?
-
Can I pay this online?
-
Is the rink open?
-
Where do I find this form?
-
What’s happening this weekend?
My approach starts there.
Together we will make important information easy to find, easy to understand and easy to keep current.

FROM “WE NEED A NEW WEBSITE” TO LAUNCH DAY
I make the process manageable too.
01. DISCOVERY
We talk about your community, staff, residents, current website, priorities and what isn't working.
02. CONTENT + STRUCTURE
Before worrying about colours and pretty buttons, we figure out where everything belongs and how residents will actually find it.
03. DESIGN + BUILD
I create the website around your municipality's identity while keeping navigation, readability and usability front and centre.
04. REVIEW + TEST
Your team reviews the site, we work through feedback and make sure important information and common tasks are easy to find
05. TRAINING, LAUNCH + SUPPORT
Before I hand anything over, I make sure the people responsible for the website know how to use it.
Then we launch.
And I don’t disappear afterward.

THE HURRICANE DIFFERENCE
ONE PERSON. ONE CONVERSATION.
You know who is looking after your website.
You aren't submitting a ticket to an agency and wondering who has it.
-
When we work together, you work with me.
-
I learn how your municipality communicates, how your website is organized and what matters to your community.
-
So when something changes, you know who to contact.
-
Council update? Send it over.
-
New public notice? Got it.
-
Summer recreation registration opening? Let's get it up.
-
Something changed that nobody saw coming? We'll deal with it.
WEBSITES BUILT FOR SMALL SASKATCHEWAN COMMUNITIES
Smaller communities doesn’t mean smaller needs.
Not every municipality has a communications department, an IT person or someone whose job is to keep the website updated.
Sometimes it’s the administrator.
Sometimes it’s whoever has five minutes.
And sometimes the website simply becomes one more thing nobody has time to deal with.
That’s who I built this service for.
I work with Saskatchewan communities of approximately 50 to 5,000 residents, creating practical municipal websites and ongoing support that fits the size of the community and the people managing it.
SUPPORT PRICED FOR YOUR COMMUNITY
A village of 250 shouldn't have to pay the same ongoing support rate as a community of 5,000.
My municipal support options are scaled based on community size and the level of help your team needs, so smaller communities can get professional website support without paying for more than they'll actually use.
YOU WON’T BE HANDED A WEBSITE AND WISHED GOOD LUCK.
Your team will know how to use it.
A municipal website only works if the people responsible for it feel confident using it.
Once your website is ready, I’ll train the staff members who will be managing it and walk them through the things they’ll actually need to do, from updating pages and posting notices to adding documents, events and community information.
And I don’t put a stopwatch on training.
We’ll spend the time your team needs to feel comfortable. If that means going through something again, we go through it again. If someone learns better by doing it themselves while I walk them through it, that’s what we’ll do.
My goal isn’t just to leave you with a new website. It’s to leave your staff feeling confident managing it.
